Deborah Sturges, the founder and President/CEO of Hallmark Home Mortgage, was senior vice president at Waterfield Mortgage when the longtime Fort Wayne firm announced in 2006 it had been sold. Six-hundred fifty local jobs were lost in that transaction, Sturges’ being one of them.

Out of that loss and Deborah’s desire to continue providing the Fort Wayne area with quality home mortgage solutions - Hallmark was born. This rapidly growing Fort Wayne based company now has offices in South Bend, Indiana and Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to better serve you.

When the decision to create Hallmark was made, Deborah turned to the highly experienced Waterfield staff she had worked with for years, who were suddenly available and eager for a new challenge. The Hallmark family was formed and continues to grow.
